April the new date for Apple iPad

Malaysia News.Net
Sunday 7th March, 2010

Apple’s much-vaunted iPad tablet computer has been postponed.

It will now start hitting US store shelves on April 3rd, slightly later than the late March release that was originally planned.

Apple unveiled the touch-screen device on January 27th at a special launch, where the company said the technology would be released in the US and internationally at the same time.

Apple has not said why the tablet will be late, but it is believed a production bottleneck could be causing the problem.

All models will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK by late April.

Other countries are expected to get the device later in the year.
