Russian men die in overheated plunge pool

Two Russian men who thought they were plunging into cold water have died from serious burns.

The men died in a sauna after jumping into a plunge pool that had accidentally been heated to boiling point.

After sweating it out in the sauna, the men had entered the plunge pool to cool down.

Other sauna patrons tried to rescue the men but was unable to haul them out of the pool.

Pravda has reported the incident occurred on February 18th in the city of Kirov in central Russia.

An autopsy has confirmed their deaths occured in the pool, which had been overheated due to an error.
