Hummer might still be on the roads

General Motors in the US may not scrap the iconic Hummer vehicle after all.

Hummer sport utility vehicles were to be completely shelved after interested parties could not be persuaded to take GM terms for the sale of the brand.

GM has not listed the interested parties but has said since last week there had been more offers for the military-style vehicles.

The company has said it will carefully assess the new offers as it did with the recent Saab deal, which only happened at the last minute when GM had announced plans to discontinue Saab operations.
