Lebanon rules out terrorism in Ethiopian Airlines crash

Lebanon has ruled out terrorism as a cause for the crash of an Ethiopian Airlines plane which plunged into the sea shortly after take-off from Beirut International Airport Monday.

'We have ruled out foul play,' President Michel Suleiman told a press conference at the Defence Ministry.

'Investigation and the rescue mission is continuing,' he said, speaking as rescue teams scoured the Mediterranean off the Lebanese coast.
