i was stationed at ft hood 1st. if you have a personel weopon you can get it at any time you are off yust sign it out.2nd.if you do not turn a wepon in upon transfer to the base and you had one at your last posting you will have to show what happend to it (ie sold)3rd if you buy a new weapon and you do not report it they have health and welfare inspections of the on base living space(barraks,baq’s ect.)with out notice to look for drugs,weapons ect.for some of the reports that say we need more restictions on military bases.bull its more than you and i go thru in our homes and we are not intrusted with our nations secuity as much as these fine us troops.besides if this were planed how hard do you think it would be for a maj. in the army to get a m-16
