Airport robbers take bags from carousel

A baggage carousel scam has been stopped by police in Phoenix, Arizona.
The people suspected of stealing up to 1,000 pieces of luggage from airport carousels have been arrested by police, who discovered the stolen bags during the search of a home occupied by Keith and Stacy Legg-King, 38.
The pair have been charged with theft of property and possession of stolen property.
Phoenix police gathered together suitcases at the home, saying it would take a while to determine their owners.
Police caught up with Keith King three weeks ago when he was seen to take a piece of luggage from one of the baggage claim carousels at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and take it to his car.
After he was charged with a misdemeanour and released, police conducted further surveillance before observing him take another piece of luggage.
At that stage a warrant was issued for a search of his home.
Police have alleged the pair engaged in stealing the luggage as a livelihood.  Email this story to a friend
